Imperial HBF, the talented son of Glasgow van 't Merelsnest, delivered an impressive performance this past weekend at the CSIO5 in Rome*. Under the saddle of McLain Ward, he jumped a double clear round in the prestigious Nations Cup, making a decisive contribution to Team USA’s victory. Imperial HBF was bred by Laura Tinto out of the Original VDL mare Carina VDL, a mare she purchased from us as a 4-year-old in foal.Remarkably, Imperial’s sire Glasgow van 't Merelsnest won the Grand Prix of Rome himself back in 2017. Now, eight years later, his son shines on that very same world stage — a powerful confirmation of Glasgow’s value as a sire of top-level sport horses.

Leone Jei (by Baltic VDL) – ridden by Martin Fuchs (SUI) – secured an excellent 7th place finish in the 1.60m Grand Prix. With just one rail in the first round and a clear second round, they earned a prize of €20,000. Leone Jei was bred by G.M. van Mersbergen in Udenhout, The Netherlands.

PSG Starlight (by Zirocco Blue VDL) took victory in the Six Bar competition on Saturday, ridden by Bryan Balsiger (SUI).
