Johannesburg, Friday - Amy and her horse Go To Blue took victory in the 150/155m Grand Prix at a thrilling competition last Friday. The class had as many as 59 riders, but only five managed to finish the first round clear.
The competition was sharp, with a challenging course designed by renowned course builder Frank Rothenberger.
In the subsequent jump-off, Amy and Go To Blue showed their speed and precision, which not only earned them first place in the Grand Prix, but also gave them fourth place in the World Cup Qualifier.
‘Go To Blue is just a very special horse,’ said Amy, visibly proud of her four-legged partner. ‘He showed me again what he can do and I am extremely happy with our result, both in the Grand Prix and the World Cup Qualifier.’ With this performance, the pair not only proved their talent, but also further confirmed their potential for future international competitions. The Zirocco blue son is bred by H.J.M. Dekkers.
