19 mei 2025 12.52

What a weekend it was for New Pleasure VDL and Hessel Hoekstra at Jumping Peel & Maas in Kessel! After winning on Thursday and finishing second on Saturday, they concluded the show in style this morning with a victory in the final of the young horses class (7- & 8-year-olds).

New Pleasure already has an impressive track record, including the title of Champion of the KWPN Stallion Competition and Reserve Champion among the 6-year-olds. He continues to prove himself time and again in the sport. New Pleasure VDL was bred by Stal Ter Putte (Belgium). His fresh semen is of excellent quality and available for shipping throughout Europe.

New Pleasure VDL wasn’t the only standout at Jumping Peel & Maas—several other offspring of VDL stallions also shone. Here’s an overview of some notable winners:

In the 1.55m Grand Prix, Luke Dee (NZL) and Gangster WW (Grand Slam x Kannan) delivered a fantastic performance to finish 3rd after a double clear and a sharp jump-off time of 36.89 seconds. Bred by Wilhelm Winkeler and owned by Fiona Hall & Luke Dee
