Top Irish rider Denis Lynch confirmed his excellent form by scoring several victories. For example, with King Blue (by Dallas) he managed to win the 1.45m class with a clear jump-off in a sharp time of 35.93 seconds, good for prize money of €7,050. The Dallas son is bred by Q. van Erp. Lynch also topped the podium with Katja (by Etoulon) in the 1.45m class, where he again went clear in 60.95 seconds. Katja (by Etoulon) is bred by G.M. Hebbink and managed to place eight times in the past nine courses, seven of which were in the top four. Earlier in the week, the duo also managed to win the 1.35m.
Labrina (by Grand Slam) provided a resounding victory on 26 April in the 1.35m ‘Two Phases Special’ with Hannes Symons. The duo set a clear round in just 32.52 seconds, earning €375. Second place went to Norwegian rider Celine Eknes Hegna with H Day van Bareelhof Z (by Hardrock), a horse bred by Bareelhof NV.
Young talent also made its presence felt. Belgian rider Louis Lambrecht won the 1.40m class for young horses on 24 April with Just The Way (Zirocco Blue) in a time of 27.43 seconds. The Zirocco Blue son is bred by L. van Vegchel. Fellow countryman Thibault Philippaerts was also successful with Quilano (by Arezzo) the duo won the 1.45m class for 8-year-olds on Thursday. The Arezzo son is bred by Michel Steyvers.
